How and where can i rent DVDs without a membership?

I live in pasadena,CA.i dont want to become a member and everything.just need a couple of DVDs.

1. funny.. if you can find such a site let me know. I know where you can download movies. i know where with a member ship you can rent movies by downloading em you get 24 hrs to watch em.
2. OK, Say you rent DVDs. How could you rent them to someone without knowing who they are? You'd never get them back, and you'd be out of business soon. Ergo, there would be nowhere you could rent DVD's without a membership. People would need at the very least a credit card from you so they could bill you if you failed to return the DVDs. I suggest either just buying the DVD's you want (most you can find cheap on Ebay, or used at a rental chain), or checking with your local public library. Of course, you will need to be a card carrying library member.
